Elmore Brown, 76, retired farmer, died at 11:30 Monday morning at his home, 803 Gibbes street after an illness of six months.

Formerly of Blaney, Mr. Brown had lived in Columbia for seven years. He attended Pentecostal Holiness church in Columbia.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maggie Webb Brown of Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Eunice Braziel of Blaney, and Mrs. Nannie Ross, also of Blaney: two sons, Glenn Brown and Howell Brown, both of Blaney and a brother Willie Brown, of Columbia.

Funeral service will be held at 4 o’clock Tuesday afternoon from the Highway Pentecostal Holiness church near Blaney wit the Rev. Mr. Gladden of Columbia, assisted by the Rev. Roland Hodge of Columbia, in charge. Interment will be in the churchyard.

DIES HERE BROWN FUNERAL SET FOR TODAY

Funeral services for Elmore Brown, 76, of 803 Gibbes street were to be conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Highway Pentecostal Holiness church near Blaney by the Rev. H. J. Gladden assisted by the Rev. Roland Hodge of Columbia. Interment was to be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Brown died Monday after an illness of six months. He was formerly of Blaney but had lived in Columbia seven years. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Maggie Webb Brown of Columbia, two daughters, Mrs. Eunice Brazel and Mrs. Nannie Ross of Blaney, two sons, Glenn Brown and Howell Brown of Blaney and one brother Willie Brown of Columbia.

Pallbearers were to be active, W. W. Wallace, A. M., Christol, J. M. Ballington, F. K. Jeffers, R. T. Cook, and D. E. Jeffers; honorary, Sam Hawkins, C. H. Swinnie, Carl Wates, Rifton Stivender, Sudie Chavis and W. O. Winton.

Elmore Brown, 76, retired farmer, died at 11:30 yesterday morning at his home, 803 Gibbes street, after an illness of six months.

Mr. Brown had lived for seven years in Columbia, where he attended Pentecostal Holiness church. Formerly of Blaney, he leaves many friends both there and in Columbia who will be saddened to learn of his death.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maggie Webb Brown of Columbia, two daughters, Mrs. Eunice Brazel and Mrs. Nannie Ross of Blaney, two sons, Glenn Brown and Howell Brown of Blaney and one brother Willie Brown of Columbia.

Mr. Brown had made his home in Columbia for the past seven years and attended the Pentecostal Holiness church. He leaves many friends who will join with his family in mourning his passing. He formerly made his home in Blaney.
