According to the United States Census reported on June 23, 1880, Moses Moak (37) lived in Columbia, Richland County, South Carolina with his wife, Maria Moak (36). All household members were born in South Carolina. Moses Moak was a farmer and Maria kept house.
1910 Census Information:
According to the United States Census reported on May 11, 1910, Walter E Mcpherson (26) rented a home of Wateree, Kershaw County, South Carolina, with his wife of three years, Rebby Mcpherson (30). She reported being the the mother of one child, Edmund Mcpherson (1), also in the home was his father-in-law, Mose Moak (68). All household members were born in South Carolina. Walter E was a farmer on a general farmer and Mose Moak was a laborer with odd jobs.

Funeral services for Moses I. Moak, 93, were to be conducted from Mount Hebron Methodist church Thursday morning, December 12, 1935. Interment was to be in the churchyard.
Mr. Moak died Tuesday afternoon, December 10, 1935 at the Confederate home. He was Confederate veteran and served with Company D, Palmetto light artillery. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. W. E. McPherson, Florida, and one brother, Henry Moak, Blaney.
