Camden Bank Buys Blaney School Bonds

Special to The State.

Camden, October. 2. – On October 1 Kershaw county, Blaney school district No. 12, bond were sold at noon in the office of J. Team Gettys, attorney for the school board.

The total amount was $8,000 or 16 bonds, each of a $500 par value. These certificates mature serially $500 in each year, from 1936 to 1951 inclusive.

The bonds will be dated September 1, 1935, and the successful bidder was the Commercial Bank of Camden, which paid a premium for the issue of $325; the second high bidder was the Kershaw county sinking fund, and the third, C. W. Haynes company of Columbia. Others who submitted bids were: The First National bank of Camden; R. S. Dixon company of Charlotte and G. H. Crawford company of Columbia.
