Ridgewood Camp Notes

Ridgewood Camp, May 9, – Mrs. B. T. DeLoach was dismissed and returned Thursday to her home in Hapton after a four-year stay at the sanatorium.

Mrs. Electra Irick of Elloree entered the sanatorium Monday.

Mrs. W. L. Rankin of Gastonia, N. C., visited Mrs. Stuart Simpson Tuesday.

Miss Minnie Moore had as guests Thursday Mrs. Tate Monroe of Laurens, Mrs. W. H. Harth, Mrs. Roy Dickerson, Miss Elizabeth Fleming and Mrs. T. C. Lucas of Columbia.

Mrs. Alex Cayce of Columbia visited Mrs. J. W. Powers last week.

Mrs. A. P. Beard and Mrs. L. Gradick of Columbia were guest of F. J. Lowrimore Sunday.

Among Mrs. E. W. Haynes’ guests last week were: W. J. Haynes, Louis Haynes and E. W. Haynes of Camden, Mrs. Weir, Mrs. T. T. Frick and Mildred Frick of Columbia.

Mrs. L. H. Stonier and Mrs. E. M. Holderness had as visitors during the week L. H. Stonier of New York and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Johnson of Columbia.

Mrs. J. M Gayle and Mrs. C. E. Nolan from Columbia Chapter No. 59, O. E. S., visited the patients in the Eastern Star cottage Wednesday. Mrs. Arthur deJersery and Mrs. Frank Schirmer from the Daughters of the Holy Cross of Trinity church, Columbia, visited the patients Thursday.

Miss Jennie Sanders’ guest during the weeke were: W. F. Sanders and Miss Ritter Lane of Beaufort, Mrs. Maurice W. Pleasants of Reidsville, N. C., Mrs. L. A. Miller of Macon, Ga., Mrs. W. G. Rosborough and Miss Helen Rosborough of Lugoff, Mrs. W. Q. Claytor of Hopkins, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Coates, Miss Lance, Mrs. D. A. Epting, David Epting, Mr. and MRs. B. B. Davis and Dr. and Mrs. P. D. Brown of Columbia.

P. B. Harrison of Johnsoton and Mr. Garland of Columbia visited Mrs. James Cullum Saturday.

Miss Anne O’Neill’s visitors during the week were Father M. C. Murphy of Columbia and Father Quinn of Sumter. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Fagnoly, Miss Betty Fagnoly and H. G. Starnes of Columbia visitied friends at the camp Wednesday.

Leonard Brown and Ed Bankhead of Columbia visited D. A. Brown Sunday.

Mrs. John Stone of Columbia was the guest of her husband Sunday.

W. G. Davis was visited Sunday by Mrs. “Buddy” Simonds, Miss Hinson, and Parker Davis of Columbia.

Amoung Miss Elizabeth Hardy’s guest last week were: Mrs. Archibald Hardy, Misses Eleanor Hart, Sarah Heyward and Elise Legare, J. C. Whitaker, Jr., Harry Reid and George McKiever, Mrs. C. W. Barron, Mrs. Allen Jones and Mrs. Eliza Singleton of Columbia.

B. F. Fulmer of Columbia visited J. E. Fulmer Sunday.

J. L. Porter of Hamlet, N. C., was the guest of Mrs. J. L. Porter last week.

Mrs. Bennie Weaver and little Ada Louise and R. J. Weaver visited J. D. Weaver Sunday.

Due to approaching examinations, students from the Columbia Bible college paid the last of their weekly visits to the patients Thursday.

Misses Kate Greglish and Annie Sutherland of Columbia were guest of Miss Verdie Fallaw Thursday.

Mrs. Joseph Joncas, a former patient, spent Saturday at the camp.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Riley and Mrs. Jack Riley visited friends at the camp during the week.

Mrs. S. M. Douglas, Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Perry and Grover Jacobs of Blaney were guest of S. M. Douglas Tuesday.

Ben Pearce of Columbia visited N. D. Curtis Sunday.
