Caldwells Have Narrow Escape

Chester, Jan 2. – R. B. Caldwell of Chester, president of the South Carolina Cotton Growers’ Co-operative association and prominent Chester banker, and Mrs. Caldwell had a narrow escape from probable serious injury when their car was side swiped and considerably damaged at Blythewood by an automobile driven by a man who gave his name to Mr. Caldwell as P. D. Cooper of Blaney.
