Pelion, September 21. – The Parent Teacher association of the Pelion high school held its first meeting September 12. At this meeting various committees were appointed. The association looks forward to a successful year.

Miss Lurina Gardner spent the past weekend at her home in Wagener.

Misses Edith and Freddie Lariel left last week to continue their studies at Limestone college.

Miss Elizabeth Derrick spent the past weekend in Swansea with her brother, the Rev. C. K. Derrick.

Mrs. Pete Brodie and Miss Nadine Faulty visited the former’s sisters, Miss Juanita Ayers. Tuesday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Beaver and Miss Naomi Sox were visitors in Lexington Saturday afternoon.

Joe Derrick, a senior at the seminary filled the pulpit of his brother the Rev. C. K. Derrick, last Sunday afternoon.

W. H. Fargle of St. Matthews was a visitor in Pelion Saturday.

Holland Derrick who has accepted a position in Hampton, spent the past weekend at home.

Miss Mandy Rast was a visitor in Blaney Tuesday afternoon.

Miss Roseva Schumpert left the past week for Chicora college.

Wyman Best left for Clemson college to resume his studies.

Mr. and Mrs. Roof of Columbia visited the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Schumpert.

Mrs. Zineker of Virginia, is visiting her sister, Mrs. L. W. Wise.

Miss Gladys Kneese left last week for school at Cades, where she will be a member of the faculty.
