Blaney, September 7. – Mrs. W. B. Evans was hostess Thursday afternoon at a lovely party celebrating the fourth birthday of his little son, Wade.

A number of enjoyable games were played. Adelle Rabon and Herbert Kirkland were the lucky winners of prizes in contests.

Strawberry and vanilla cream and cake were served, the refreshments giving the note of the color scheme of pink and white, which was effectively carried out by the use of crepe paper.

A beautiful white and birthday cake with four tiny pink candles adorned the center of the table, and little pink baskets of white mints were given as favors.

Receiving with Wade were his mother, Mrs. W. B. Evans, and Misses Nille Evans and Mildred Evans, and those present were: Adelle Rabon, Faye Wilkes and Doris Wilkes, Martha Rose, Dorothy Mason and Inez Mason, Margie Kirkland, Nina Rose and Wade Evans, Kershaw Rose, Donald Watson, Jr., Claude Mason and Herbert Kirkland.

A revival meeting will commence at the Blaney Baptist church Monday evening. September 9. Services will conducted by the Rev. A. L. Willis, of Ridgeway.

Mr. and Mrs. Gilliard Rose and children of Spartanburg are visiting Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Rose.

Miss Eda Faye Kelly of Columbia, spent last Wednesday have as the guest of friends and relatives.
