Wagener, June 8. – Miss Myra B. Pettigrew and J. S. Lorick were married here Wednesday afternoon at 6 o’clock by the Rev. H. C. Hester at the Baptist parsonage. The ceremony room was beautiful in decorations of shasta daisies and ferns. Mrs. John Lyles and Mrs. Leon Corbett of Wagener gave a musical program and Mrs. Lyles played Cavalierra Rusticanns during the ceremony. Little Joy Hester served as ring bearer.

Miss Pettigrew, whose family has recently moved to Tampa, Florida was a student of Mr. Hester’s when he was connected with North Greenville academy. Since her graduation she has taught successfully having been at Blaney the past year.

Mr. Lorick is from Columbia and hold a responsible position with the Southern railway.

During the reception which follows the ceremony, Mrs. Hester served ice cream and bride’s cake.

Among those present were the Rev. and Mrs. G C Hinson, Pastor of Baptist church in Eastover and schoolmate of Miss Pettigrew. Mrs. Daisy Hile of Columbia, also a schoolmate, was here besides other friends from Colombia and Blaney.
