Birthday Dinner Pleasant Surprise

Mr. and Mrs. J. M Grigsby enjoyed a delightful birthday dinner May 26, celebrating Mr. Grigsby’s 53rd birthday. The dinner was given by their children, all of whom were presides in Cayce. The dinner was a complete surprise to Mr. and Mrs. Grigsby. The beautiful birthday cake, decorated by 53 candies, was cut by both Mr. and Mrs. Grigsby.

After the last course, ice cream and cake, had been served, Mrs. W. O. Epting, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grigsby, brought in a large box containing the man birthday presents.

Those to enjoy the dinner were: Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Epting of Columbia; Mr. and Mrs. James Grigsby and daughter of Gaffney; Mr. and Mrs. McKay and family of Blaney; Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Grigsby of Blaney, Floride and Owens Grigsby of Blaney, Doctor Grigsby, a brother of J. M. Grigsby, and his wife of Blaney, were also among the family to enjoy the dinner.
