Prosperity, Dec 27. – A reception was given Saturday afternoon a the home of Mrs. J. S. Wheeler by the Literary Sorosis, Honoring, Mrs. S. W. Hahn ad Mrs. Raymond Caldwell members who leave next week for their new homes in North Carolina. Mrs. Hahn goes to Winston-Salem and Mrs. Caldwell to Charlotte. Mrs. Wheeler’s rooms were bright with sprays of holly and vases and hanging baskets fo flowering narcissi. After the games, black coffee and fruit cake was served. Mrs. W. C. Morris, the club president, present the honor guests with lovely china tea pots.

At the meeting of the Community league Thursday afternoon, the patrons of the school and their friends enjoyed a jolly Christmas program given by the children under the supervision of Miss Ruth Stackmer and Miss Alice Thompson.

C.; Rosine Singley, Greenville; Annie Fellers, Elizabeth City, N. C.; Rosalee and Helen Wheeler, Gertrude Babb, Columbia.

O. S. Miller of St. Petersburg, Fla., has been visiting relative here.

Miss Lucile Pugh of Woman’s college, Due West, is home for the Yule-tide season.

Mrs. Kreps Zeagler of Lone Star, L. M. Wise of Charlotte and P. E. Wise of Raleigh, N. C., are Christmas guest of Mrs. Laura E. Wise.
