Mr. T. R. Riddle of Laurens is visiting his son, Mr. C. R. Riddle.

Mr. J. E. Gregory and daughter, Mazie Gregory, of Union, visited Mr. and Mrs. Thomas this week.

Mrs. Kate Harding of the city spent Friday, with Mrs. Argie on Church street.

The infant of Mr. and Mrs. Neely died at the home of its parents on Granby Sunday.

Mr. Lester Neely is ill at his home with pneumonia.

Mr. Joe McQuarters is at home from El Paso because of the death of his baby.

Mrs. Hampton Baily of Greenville is here on a business trip for a few days.

Mrs. John Deese is ill at her home on Zig Zag street.

Mrs. Kinard of Newberry spent the week-end with Mrs. Martha Pope.

Mrs. R. E. Bishop died at her home on Church street Wednesday, after an illness of several months. Mrs. Bishop had been improving for some time and her death was a shock to her many friends. She survived by seven sons and one daughter. The interment took place at Blaney. South Carolina.
