Gillian Ann “Gillie” DeBruhl Hough

Gillian Ann “Gillie” DeBruhl was born on 18 May 1857.

Camden, September 2, 1916 – At her residence on DeKalb street, Camden, on the night of August 30, Mrs. Lillian A. Hough, wife of W. Cal Hough, died after a protracted and painful illness, in her 60th year of her age.

She was universally beloved by a large circle of relatives and acquaintances for her genial disposition, and many other lovable traits of character. Her heart and hand were ever open to the call of charity and the poor of this community will sadly miss her kindly words of cheer and comfort, and open handed beneficence of a more material nature.

The following named sons and daughters survive her:

J. Ed. Hough, William T. Hough and George W. Hough, and Mrs. Alice Saunders, Mrs. Minnie Geddings, Mrs. Annie Bell Brown, Mrs. Louise Cooney and Miss Lillie Hough.

The funeral services were held at the residence at 5 o’clock Thursday afternoon, August 31, 1916, and the remains interred in the Quaker Cemetery.
