Leesville, S. C., Aug. 5. – Miss Ella Blanche Smith of Johnston is the attractive guest of Miss Vera Trotter.

Miss Thelma Gunter has returned from Brevvard, N. C., where she has been attending the Brevard institute.

Dr. G. T. Pugh of Columbia college will preach at the Methodist church Sunday Morning.

Prof. W. F. Cooley left Monday for Woodford, S. C., where he will conduct a two week revival meeting. Prof. Cooley is a worthy young man and we wish him well in his meeting.

Rev. H. B. Jones is conducting a meeting at Mt. Ebal this week. Mr. Jones also conducted a meeting at Gaston last week, where 38 united with the church.

Rev. and Mrs. D. R. Roof left Monday for Glenn Springs and Traveler’s Rest, where they hope to take a rest and improve their health.

Mrs. F. E. Etheredge is spending some time in Greenville with her daughter, Mrs. Jenette Pendarvas.

Mr. Van M. Wingard is visiting her mother here, Mrs. E. J. Mitchell.

Rev. W. H. Whaley, pastor of the Baptist church at Blaney, S. C., visited his sister, Mrs. H. B. Jones.

Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Duncan and children have returned from North Carolina.

Mr. Bruce of Aiken is visiting her sister, Mrs. Courtney, at the home of Mr. W. E. Quattlebaum.

Misses Susie McKenny and Pauline Smith of Sumter and Augusta, respectively, will spend some time with Mis Georgia Fulmer.

Mr. Alfred Gage of Columbia is visiting his aunt, Mrs. James Crosson.

Mrs. B. T. John is here for a few days with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. James Crosson.

Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Steadman will leave for Mrs. Steadman’s home next week.
