C. G. Williams, Principal of the public school at Blaney, passed through Columbia yesterday on his way to his home in nRock Hill, his school having closed last Friday. His assistants were Miss Evaret Birchmore of Camden and Miss Ida Corbett of Perry. Speakers at the closing exercises of the school were E. J. Watson the Rev. J. P. Knox and the Rev. J. M. Forbis. A petition is being circulated to order an election on the question of erecting an $8,000 school house.
