Florence, April 12. – Mrs. Frances R. Miles died this afternoon at 6 o’clock at the home of her daughter Mrs. H. J. McVeigh. Mrs. Miles was 81 years of age. She formerly resided in Columbia but had lived with her daughter here for 11 years. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. W. H. Ward of Blaney, and two brothers, W. H. Ward and Benjamin Ward of Columbia; one son, W. H. Miles of Columbia, and the following daughters, Mrs. H. J. McVeigh of Florence, Mrs. O. Martin of English, Mrs. G. W. Meigs of Camilla, Ga., Mrs. H. J. Riles of Cowarts, Ala., Mrs. Frannie O. Cottingham of Columbia.

The funeral services will be held in Columbia Tuesday afternoon, April 14, 1914, at 2 o’clock. The services will be held at Elmwood cemetery.

On September 10, 1918, Francis Ward was mentioned as the mother on the death record of Florance Harabille McVeigh.


On July 28, 1922, Fannie Ward was mentioned as the mother on the death record of Osie Martin.
