Camden, Sept. 13 (Special) – The very sad news of the death of Mrs. John J. Workman was received in Camden by long distance telephone Monday afternoon. Mrs. Workman had been in a hospital in Columbia, where she had gone for treatment, but with all that medical skill and loved ones could do she succumbed at 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Workman before her marriage to Mr. John Workman about eight years ago was Miss Mattie Boykin. She is survived by her husband and three small children, who have the sincerest sympathy of the entire community.

Death of Mrs. Matt Boykin Workman

Camden, Sept. 16 – Mrs. Matt Boykin Workman, wife of Jno. J. Workman of this city, died today at a hospital in Columbia after having been ill for some weeks with typhoid fever. Mrs. Workman was the daughter of the late S. F. Boykin and was about 35 years of age at the time of her death. Beside her husband and three little children, three brothers survive her – D. A. Boykin of this city and W. A. Boykin and S. F. Boykin of Atlanta. The funeral services will take place from the Presbyterian church here tomorrow.
